Meet: Nevison Inn, 96 Plank Lane, Leigh WN7 4QE. Toilets and order food. Small car park, so block one another in! Note different start point
Walk: Easy walk round Pennington Flash. Toilets and burger van available at visitor centre. Bring binoculars if you are a birdwatcher. Longer and shorter options towards the end.
Directions: Take A579 from Winwick signposted to Leigh for about 2 miles, turn right at T junction and left at traffic lights at Red Lion onto B5207 towards Golborne. Cross A580 and in ¾ mile turn right at traffic lights into Slag Lane then follow the road for 2 miles. Pub is on left ¼ mile beyond canal.
Distance : 11 miles taking about 30 mins from Warrington Town Centre.

Walk : An easy walk through Moore and Daresbury, along footpaths, canal towpath, fields and woodland. Some B road walking, one slightly uphill at the start. No stiles or farm animals.
Directions: From town centre take A56 Chester road and continue on past the Crematorium exit. At traffic lights, turn right signposted Moore. Carry on for about a mile on this road, road goes over the canal, then sharp bends, then pub is on your left. Large carpark

Food : We have a reservation at the pub for 1.30pm but they have requested to know numbers asap and by Monday 9th January at the very latest. Please let Jeff Brookes know if you’d like to stay for a meal.
Walk : A circular pub walk from the Hayhurst Arms in Bostock Green near Middlewich, Cheshire. The walking route has plenty of interest for everyone, taking in pretty villages, the tree at the Centre of Cheshire, signs of the area’s historic industrial past and a picturesque stretch along the towpath of the Weaver Navigation. We can create a shorter ‘C’ walk of about 4 miles but please advise if your need this option so we can organise it before the walk.
Directions : Bostock Green is located a few miles north of Middlewich, Cheshire (NOTE: there is another Bostock Green within Ellesmere Port – don’t go there!). From the North, take the A556 and head towards Northwich. Take the exit for Winsford on to the A533 & follow sign for Bostock Green. The pub is about ½ a mile on your right. There is plenty of parking at the pub – follow the driveway to the left.

Walk : It is an easy walk across farmland and lanes. There are 2 stiles. It will be muddy in places.
Directions: from Warrington take the A57 towards Woolston Interchange remain on the A57 towards Manchester. At the second set of traffic lights turn left and immediately left again the pub is on the right.
