Walk : 4+ miles along canal towpaths and fields, 10 minutes of uphill walking at the start of the walk (Hobb Lane) then very easy. May be a little muddy but mainly dry.
Directions : From Warrington take the A56 out of Warrington towards Daresbury/M56. After driving on dual carriageway and passing Crematorium exit on left, continue to traffic lights. Keep in right hand lane and as you go through lights, turn right to Moore (Runcorn Road). Continue for about half a mile along this winding road, then you will see the Red Lion on your left.

|Walk: Map Ref. SJ 663 926 (no post code available). Toilets at start and also half way round. Food available at 'The Poacher' ( 300 yards from car park).
Directions : From Fearnhead take the A574 Birchwood Way towards the M62 Junction 11. At the second roundabout (major road works) turn right into Moss Gate. The car park is on your right at the next roundabout. Park at far end.

Walk : It is an easy walk of approx. 4 miles along canal towpaths, lanes and field footpaths. There is some road walking. It may be muddy in places.
Directions : from Warrington take the A49, through Stockton Heath, the Inn is just over London Bridge on the left.

|Meet : Public car park whose entrance is opposite the Robin Hood pub, 257 St Helens Rd, Leigh, WN7 3PA.
Walk: Easy walk round Pennington Flash. Toilets near start of walk, and hot drink van at half way stop! Bring binoculars if you are a birdwatcher.
Directions: take A579 from Winwick signposted to Leigh for about 2 miles, cross A580 East Lancs road and follow A572 for a further 2 miles. Robin Hood pub is on the right and entrance to Pennington Flash is on the left.
OR from East Lancs follow brown signs to Pennington Flash via A579. At first traffic lights turn left. Entrance to Pennington Flash is about 100 yds on the right opposite the fire station and Robin Hood pub. Turn in and meet at the first car park on the left.

Directions : At Junction 10 (M56) take A49 right on roundabout towards Whitchurch. Keep straight on past a sign for Bartington but before the bridge the pub is on your left set back. Turn left to the car park.

Meet : Knutsford Entrance of Tatton Park in Garden Road. Park outside if you can find space by the golf club wall or elsewhere in Knutsford, or share cars and pay the £5 parking fee between you. If you park inside turn right immediately after paying and use the small parking area near the trees instead of going up to the main car park. There is also a toilet near this entrance.
Lunch : Use the café or eat your own picnic. This will be for about an hour to give walkers time to visit the shops or ride the carousel.
The terrain varies from paved roads to very boggy patches so be prepared!

Walk : An easy walk of 4 miles along lanes and across fields (a few minutes alongside motorway) and some road walking. No stiles, some steps.
Directions from Warrington: Take A49 (Winwick Rd) out towards M62 junction. After passing B&Q and going through 2 sets of traffic lights, go straight on at roundabout. Take next major right turn and go past The Swan and then first right into Myddleton lane. After driving through Winwick take a right turn into Delph lane. Continue till you drive over motorway then take next right into Mill lane, Plough is on right.
