Meet : The Plough Inn, Beauty Bank, Whitegate, Cheshire, CW8 2BP. Toilets available + order lunch before start.
Walk : llamas, horses and cows encountered on recce. (May be muddy if wet beforehand in which suggest sticks and gaiters may be needed).
From junction 10 M56 take A49 south . Follow road for 8.3 miles till you come to the traffic lights on the A556 (Northwich to Chester road ) ( petrol station on lh side at junction. ) Turn left. Follow road for 0.7 miles to traffic light . Turn right (Dalesford Lane) Follow road for 2 miles then turn left into Beauty Bank - pub is on left after 200 yards.

Meet : on MAPS: Landranger 109 Manchester, Explorer 287 W.Pennine Moors. G.R. 625145. Postcode for Tearoom BL6 7SD. Eat at Rivington Tearoom at end of walk. Full meals and light snacks.
Walk : Up and down, a couple of steep bits,but nothing difficult. About 4 stiles. Maybe sheep with lambs.
Directions : Find your way to Westhoughton, (A580 E. Lancs Leigh turnoff, A579 Atherleigh Way, B5235 Lover’s Lane, A58, A6.) Turn L. on to A6 towards Chorley, continue to Rivington Grill traffic lights.Turn R. Follow road to junction (Crown Hotel opposite.) Turn L. then immediately R. into Lever Park Avenue between stone pillars. Follow road past school to Great House Barn on L. Toilets here if required. Continue @1/4 mile towards Rivington. Park in woods on R. before village.
OTHER ROUTES: M6 to Junc.27, R through Standish or M62E,M61 W to Junc.6, through Horwich to Crown Hotel, then as above.

Meet: The Salt Barge, Ollershaw Lane, Marston, Northwich,CW9 6ES. Order lunch before start, toilets available
Walk: Apart from two sets of steps, an easy walk with no stiles (yes there really are no stiles this time!).
Directions: Make your way to Stretton roundabout and take the A559 Northwich road.Follow this for approx 5 miles to Ollershaw Lane on your right. This is signed Lion Salt Works and is just before Four Lanes Garage. Drive a short distance down Ollershaw Lane until you reach a narrow bridge with traffic lights. The Salt Barge is immedately after the bridge and opposite the Lion Salt Works. Car park turning is before the pub.

Start & Parking : Brimstage Hall & Craft Centre, Brimstage, Wirral, CH63 6JA. The Mouse in Brimstage Courtyard is a delightful setting for lunch with a mouth-watering menu at Reasonable prices. We will order our meal before the walk.
Walk : although easy there are a number of stiles to negotiate but there is a short cut is available to reduce the length of the walk if required. The walk includes fields, bridle paths and country lanes.
Directions :- Take the M56 toward Queensferry and then take the M53 to Junction 4. At the bottom of the slip road take the second exit A5137. After 1 mile, you will reach Brimstage Hall & Craft Centre – follow the brown signs.
Time & Distance :- From Warrington it is 27 miles taking approx. 40mins.
