|Meet : Thorn Inn, Grappenhall Lane, Appleton, WA4 4QX. Order meal before walk, Toilets available.
Walk : Gentle walk around the Dingle, Grappenhall Heys and Appleton.
Directions : From the M56. Leave at junction10 and head towards Warrington. At the first set of lights turn right into Stretton Lane (opposite the Cat & Lion). in 1 mile go straight ahead through the roundabout and continue until you reach the Thorn Inn on the left.
From Warrington. Take the A49 south passing through Stockton Heath. Continue for a further 2 miles until you reach Stretton and a set of lights with the Cat & Lion pub on the right. Turn left at these lights. In 1 mile go straight ahead through the roundabout and continue until you reach the Thorn Inn on the left.
Distance : 3 miles from M56 junction 10, 7 miles from centre of Warrington.

Directions : Take the A56 towards Chester. Turn Right at the traffic lights just after the Walton Arms to Moore. Follow the road for about 1.5 miles to Moore. Red Lion is on the left.
