WALK: Quiet country lanes, farm tracks, field paths & sea wall - about 12 easy stiles in total.
DIRECTIONS: M6 to J32. T.L. onto M55. At J3 T.R. onto A585 S.P. Fleetwood & go right to end ‘T’ junction with A585/A586 & T.L. still A585. After about 1 mile at T. Lights keep right, still A585 & still S.P. Fleetwood, then, after just less than 1 mile at T. Lights T.R. onto A588 S.P. Knott End. Follow signs right through to Knott End. At crossroads with Cemetery Lane/Burnt House Lane go straight onto B5377, changes to B5270 along sea front. Pass Bourne Arms pub &T.L. into Quaile Holme Road & C.P. Parking is free & there are toilets but 20p for the use of. There is a café/tea shop (open from 9.30 am till 9.00 pm on Wednesdays). It is ~49 miles & took just under 1 hour from M6 J22 (Croft/Winwick).

MEET: Free car park in Caergwrie on A541. Car park is on the left if you are driving from Wrexham, just beyond Ye Olde Castle Inn. OS Explorer 256. Grid reference SJ 305 574. Postcode: LL12 9EU. No toilets
WALK: Footpaths, tracks and lanes
DIRECTIONS: M56 West. Follow signs for M53 towards Chester and Wrexham. Continue on North Wales. Expressway, A55. At junction 38 take A 483 towards Wrexham. Take B5102 towards Llay. Keep on B5102 until meet the A541 Wrexham Road, and turn right. Keep on A541, it passes through Caergwrie and car park is on left, just past Ye Olde Castle Inn.
DISTANCE: from Warrington is approx. 34 miles. Travel time approx. 50 mins.

From car park to coffee shop. (2 minutes by car). Turn right out of car park, then soon left, opposite the pub. This is Castle Street. Follow the road round to the end. Then turn left under railway bridge and then almost immediately right down the side of the pub called The Bridge. There is a car park and Honey's Bakery and Cafe.
