At roundabout take 2nd exit onto Southport Rd/A565 .At roundabout take 1st exit onto Liverpool Rd/B5424. At roundabout take 1st exit onto Raven Meols Ln. Turn right onto Kings Rd. At roundabout 1st exit onto Formby Bridge. Continue onto Kirklake Rd Turn right onto Woodlands Rd. Continue onto Harington Road. Turn left onto Victoria Rd. Carry onto Beach carpark

|Meet: In Dunham Massey NT car park nearest main gate. Show an NT card for free entry - £6 per car otherwise. Alternative free parking on Park Lane Little Bollington near Swan With Two Nicks pub which we pass 10 minutes into walk, or on Woodhouse Lane just around junction for Dunham Town. I can offer lift for non NT members. Toilets and Cafe in Dunham Massey Visitor Centre.
Walk: On well defined footpaths along Bridgewater Canal, through Dunham Town, skirting Dunham Golf Course, to Denzell Gardens (lunch), back through Golf Course and then around Dunham Massey Deer Park.
Directions: Dunham Massey entrance is on A5160 (Woodhouse Lane) between Warburton and Dunham Town. Park Lane is off A56 (Lymm Road) between Lymm and Bowdon Roundabout.

Walk: Tracks, field paths, canal towpaths with some road walking. Muddy in places. BRING a TORCH.
Directions: M6 North to J28 T.R. onto B5256. At TL’s (A49) carry straight on to A6 R-a-bout T.R. towards Chorley. After about 2 miles (oppo Spar Petrol) T.L. into Moss Lane (B6229). Go over canal bridge to mini R-a-bout T.R. & R again into Malthouse Farm C.P.
Distance: from M6 J22 about 35 mins. & 25 miles respectively.

Walk : Could be muddy in places.
Directions : M6 to junction 19 then take the road to Northwich A559 just after clock Museum turn left to Plumley go past station and the Pheasant inn is on the right.

Walk: Route is through lanes,bridleways,fields and pathways. Muddy in parts, walking poles recommended. Some hill ascents and descents. May amend if weather conditions poor.
Suggested route M62/M60 East. At Simester Island/ J18 take M60 exit to Oldham. Carry on M60 to J22 (5.5 miles). Exit left to Oldham A62. Continue towards Oldham A62 (1.8 miles) and go onto Oldham Way/A62(0.1 miles). Right at fork towards Huddersfield/A62 still on Oldham Way (0.1 miles). Turn right onto Lees Road/A669 (0.9 miles). Carry on for 3.4 miles then bear left onto Oldham Rd/A670. After 0.4miles right into Shaw Hall Bank/A669. Continue on A669 (0.4miles), which becomes Chew Valley Rd/A669. After 0.8 miles take first exit at roundabout onto Holmfirth Rd/A635. After 0.4 miles turn right into Bank Rd – signposted for Dove Stone Reservoir. Carry on down to Carpark on left under dam bank.
Distance 31 mils from J11 M62 Birchwood. Allow 1 hour.

Terrain : Woodland tracks, field paths and lanes
Suggested route: From M56 Junction 10 take A49 South signed Northwich. After 5.9 miles turn left at the roundabout onto the B5144 (West Road) signed Weaverham. Immediately turn right into Forest Road and again immediately right into Gorstage Lane, signed Sandiway. Straight on for 2.0 miles over 2 crossroads, then turn left into School Lane. After 1.7 miles (going straight across traffic lights) turn right into Clay Lane. After 0.5 miles, the car park is a hard left turn after crossing traffic controlled bridge. Park at the bottom of the car park past toilet block.
Distance : From M56 Junction 10, 21½ miles and 40 minutes

Toilets: About half an hour from the end there is the chance of stopping at a cafe for a brew with a toilet.
Terrain: Easy – mostly good paths, might be a little muddy.

Directions: Leave Warrington on A49 through Stockton Heath. Past the golf club on the right and turn left at the first set of lights onto the B5356 towards Appleton. Continue for about 1 1/2 miles on the left.

Our route – M6 North to Junction 27 (Standish) - Follow A5209 to Standish. In Standish, straight across A49 at traffic lights (IGNORE brown sign to Haigh Hall!). Straight at r’about – under railway bridge – 3rd exit at next r’about – 1st exit at next r’about (this time FOLLOW brown sign to Haigh Hall!!). Where road turns left, go right to Haigh Hall – car park on right – pay on exit – toilets/café.

Walk : Route is through woods, footpaths, lanes and Beach (if tides allow). Muddy in parts (certainly on recce), walking poles recommended.
Suggested route : M6/M56 to Parkgate Road/A540 junction. Follow signs to Hoylake A540. Through Heswall to roundabout and turn left into Station Road (also signed for Wirral Country Park, also just before Cottage Loaf pub). Carry on to bottom of road and turn left at GJ’s Café into car park at Visitor Centre. Free parking. Toilets available in Centre from 10am. Café open after walk.

Walk : Riverside and woodland tracks and paths, fields and lanes.
Directions - M56. At junction 33B take A494 to Mold. Continue on A494 to Ruthin. Then A525 north to Rhewl. Just after entering Rhewl turn right into the lane signposted Llandyrnog (3 miles) and Gellifor (1.75 miles). Homewood Bound is on the left hand side just after the sports ground. There is a toilet and tea room in the shop.

Walk : Easy but sometimes muddy walk along woodland/riverside/canal and parkland paths.
Directions : At M56 Junction 10 roundabout take A559 Northwich Road, after ~3.2m turn right into Gibb Hill signed Comberbach/Marbury Park, after a further ~1.5m turn left into Marbury Lane (just after the garden nursery) and take next left into the main car park (~15 minutes).
Toilets at car park. Possible after walk refreshments at Marina Moorings Restaurant.

Meet : Chapel St. Public C.P. Sandbach (free parking). Explorer 268 GR SJ755610, approx Post Code CW11 1DH. Public toilets soon after start of walk.
Suggested route: M6 to J17. T.R. onto A534 towards Sandbach at traffic lights go straight on. Road No. changes to A533. At R-about take 2nd exit (still A533). At next R-about take 3rd exit & follow signs for long stay C.P. in Chapel Street. C.P. is near far end of Chapel St. on the R. It took about ½ hour from M6 J20.
Terrain: Easy/Moderate. Tracks, field paths, canal tow path & some road walking. Will be muddy in places.

Directions: From M6 south Junction 17, take the A534 right signed Nantwich. Go straight ahead at traffic lights. Turn left towards Crewe at the first roundabout (1 mile from motorway), still on the A534. After about 1½ miles, at the next roundabout, turn left signed Wheelock Heath, Haslington and follow the signs to Haslington village. In the village, turn left opposite the Broughton arms into Waterloo Road. The car park is on the left
Distance from Junction 21, M6 is 24 miles and takes approx 26 minutes.
